After a long wait, and several delays, we took delivery of our Retreat Keppel today... now to get it ready for the shakedown trip... maybe a trip to Greens is a possibility. I have heard so much about Greens on the forum it will be good to experience it first hand.

An interesting day to end an interesting journey with the dealer. I arrived to discover that my plug on the Prado was not right - I had a 7 pin and needed a 12 pin... a rush to the auto electrician and $130 later I was able to take the van home. I probably should have realised this myself but it would have been nice if LRV had told me to check this before pickup date.
I then got home to discover that reversing camera monitor was missing from the van... the extra camera for the car was there but not the monitor ('not happy Jan').
Things to check for when you get your van.... make sure the press clips on all drawers are ok. Two of mine had screws pulled out and I had to pack with matches and re-screw.
I am a little disappointed that the TV is not connected to the in-house sound system. Even my Jayco Expanda had the sound wired from the Radio to the TV cabinet so I could play the TV through the system. I will have to get this done.
all is all... I am delighted with the van so far... a lot of work ahead to set it up now.

New van looks " ATreat" sorry you had a few problems with pick up but I am sure now that you have taken ownership you will have many wonerful trips and adventures.
Greens is great we were there last week, sure you will enjoy.
I will be wiring mine so that the TV can be played through the in-house system (when required - not when it would create too much noise for neighbours).

My good lady chose the colours... actually the seats were supposed to be a plain single colour with the back as they are - it was a good slip up by Retreat as we like the way it is better then it would have been as we chose it.
Retreat certainly know how to produce classy looking vans.
Looks great, Mike. I would love to have something similar.I have a ute with a slide on at the moment, but am looking at carvans like yours.Great outfit. Bill
so many places to store stuff but trying HARD to resist the temptation of overload. I have often wondered why we choose a van with lots of storage when there are such tight weight limitations
Yes, Delta18, we love the light the windows provide... love the van, full stop.... preparing for our first trip in her on the weekend... heading off to Inverloch for 3 nights. We are busy trying to sort ot where to put everything... I am sure that where we decide will change several times before we settle on a spot.
Yes, John... but the beds are still close enough to throw something if the partner snores
We opted for the singles because it is a lot more comfortable to sleep in hotter climates.
We head off in the morning for our maiden trip... off to Inverloch for 3 nights. very excited about trying it out. I am sure it will be a very different towing experience. Our two previous vans have been a Jayco Swan and Jayco Expanda - both considerably lighter then this one... a little anxious about that but I am sure I will adjust.
