Hi Roy and Allen

We were planning to get there this week
but we have to wait for another week for new plaster on my wife's leg
so now the idea is to go half to late March until the first week of April
We hope to see some new and old faces there again

I'm really looking forward to it

the truck and caravan are ready to go

Cheers John

Roy - we will be there possibly end March - or maybe a bit earlier - for a couple of weeks probably - I will make you some Ecopot scones!!! Jam and cream?

Should be a good time!

Hi Marj,

Just curious as to how you went with your Fridge Thermostat replacement or resetting. Hope you are well as we are still in Shepparton at a friends place waiting to have the Cruiser clutch replaced on the 3rd March. Kim is then heading on flight to Cairns 14/03 for her Mums 90th birthday and on arrival back on the 19/03 we will be making way across to SA then up the centre if all goes to plan.

Cheers Kev.

Hi Kev and Kim. Parked at Stanley the big emu just out of Lightening Ridge.
Everything going well except the fridge. Went to the only guy in Echuca who couldn't look at it till mid March.
As it was going, sort of, I hit the road only to have the fridge stop completely. The lights would flash occasionally on the thermostat but the fridge would not go at all.
Will wait now till I get to Hervey Bay. I'm sure there will be a repair place somewhere there and I can stay at my sons while it's getting fixed.
Managing ok without it at the moment.
Hope all goes well with the cruiser. Kim, have a wonderful time in Cairns.

Join the tug problem club Marj. I'm having a auto inhibitor switch problem at the moment. At least it is looking like the switch. Might have got some wombat hair in it. Might have a problem getting a new one though.

Keep safe out there and don't get hit by any lightning while in the ridge. Yeh I know, sick, sorry Marj.

Yep, Doug. Just been reading your post in Techies , wondered for a moment if wombat had anything to do with it.
Like dog hair, wombat hair gets in to everything.

I got the Coaster back today with all the mods completed but it cost almost twice as much as I thought it would. Oh well

at least I am a bit happier with it now. Speaking of fridges it has a tiny 3 way which wouldn't cool a drink in a snowstorm

(almost said beer then remembered that I don't drink). I am buying a portable tomorrow to get me through until I win the lottery

and can ditch it and get a decent 2 way fitted. I expect that I will be at Wuruma Dam mid march and hope to catch up with my good

mates.

Steve

Hopefully can get out there for a catch up. Car playing up. Had it with the mechanic for 3 days cost God knows how much haven't got the bill yet and not improved 1%. I'm no genius with cars especially with later models but why do they ignore what one thinks it may be.

Anyway if I can will get out there for a couple of days. Unfortunately my last go at scones was a disaster and not the world's greatest fan anyway, but will bring the fixings for pikelets.

We will be heading back down there in a couple of weeks to clean the house out for her.

Hi John

only telstra on top of the hill on the corner when you leave the bitumen as you turn off to the right
there are a few power poles and you can get under them reception there
I've seen people with an 6meter aerial mast getting reception close to the water on a phone connected to the aerial
don't know if they had internet on the same phone

Cheers John

John has arrived this arvo, camped next to us on the waterfront. Roy, Sandra thinks she might have a crack at scones so you may be lucky.

So funny. Sandra made scones in the Baby Q for morning tea yesterday. Lovely. Funny bit was that Roy (Highwayman) must have smelt them but arrived four hours too late. Took pity on him though & made another batch this morning.
