Arrived at Jack Mac's place Sunday lunch time after an easy drive from Gympie with a view to having the fridge freezer checked out by a refrigerator mechanic based in Gin Gin. That was the plan but I decided not to spend more good money after bad and have seen an Eva Kool refurbished 35ltr unit from their Factory Seconds On Line outlet for $449 plus $35 freight.

 

So tonight after my pension is paid in I intend to go online and buy it, I did phone up to get an idea of delivery times and they said only a couple of days from Caloundra. So hopefully by the weekend I will be on my way again with a cold freezer and plenty of food heading for Wuruma Dam. That is the plan so we will see how that turns out.    John

Hi John, hope all goes well with this fridge. I have been at greens, a bit windy there for a couple of days then nice hot days. I am at Tracies looking after Poppy the little dog for a few days. Caught up with Vida for a couple of days. Wayne is a new Grey Nomad, met him at greens so with Heather & Rod there we have mini happy hour, we all get to say some thing hahahaha. Patty.

Good to see that you are keeping up with the Grey Nomads at Greens Patty.

The freezer was delivered today and is on 240 volts in the house and coming down well, can you believe it I paid for the cover and they didn't put it in the box. Phoned up and it is now coming via express post so expecting a further delay.

Interesting day tomorrow when Jack Mac and I are going to Bundaberg to see his 27ft yacht apparently he needs a little help for a couple of jobs.

Friday morning and I am expecting to get the undelivered cover, stock up with groceries and fuel then set off for Wuruma Dam. Was there a couple of years ago but can't remember about internet coverage so I could be out of  range again. Rod (Rover) will be there later and has an extended antenna so hopefully I can get coverage then if not sooner.  John

I should be there 7th March, fixed the brakes on the camper broken wire soldered it, all good.

Just waiting for freewheeling hubs for the car to arrive fit them and will be on my way.

With extended antenna John biggrin.

Hi di hi john  ,at gympie been around the coast you gave me the fridge bug ..it stopped working so to caloundra I did go ..72 meridan way  great caravan repair crew fixed my ailing fridge in no time flat thx to them I'm all go again..need to stop off for provisions then waruma  cya then hey

Hey John how goes Gin Gin area..

I wish I was up there at the moment as I have a contact that I want to drop in it.. Plus it's a short stone throw to Bundaburg.. Where I would drop in and get a few dozen bottles of My FAVORITE drop..

He does some great photo's and his story from the last few year's is very interesting..

I recently bought an Eva Kool Travelmate fridge/freezer 30 ltr John, it came with a cover, it was recommended to me, I have only tested it so far but will eventually use it on a trip when I get some wiring done on the vehicle for dual battery.
