There is a CMCA rally of sorts near by with a large number of motorhomes including 4 coasters and a 5th wheeler, they keep to themselves and perhaps as well if they decide to try to enrol us in their club. Darrell took off again for firewood and stocked up the pile, Rod went out this morning to stock up his pile too. He has a choofer like mine without the side door and only uses it for a fire. I have used mine a couple of times, last night to boil the billy and cook a jaffle and before to cook a potato bake.
Have been getting adventurous pulling frozen food from the freezer and putting it into the fridge to defrost, so tonight it will be the choofer again having brought out some potato wedges and party sausage rolls. Had lamb with roast potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy in a Mcains frozen meal recently.
Been deciding on my next purchases to improve the bus and decided to buy anti flap bars for either end of the awning which have sail track underneath to allow side curtains plus the side curtain and centre support bar. All up around $500 delivered to Eisvold, next Tuesday will be the day to finalise that deal from Green RV.
I meet amazing charaters whilst on the road and would like to introduce Pearl who travels in a small Merceces van. She is older than me by a few months and travels solo. She puts out awnings on both sides of the van and erects a shower tent, then goes walk about the camp site using her walker and taking her two small dogs.
She sells home made jam to help finance her overseas volunteer work. She swims in the dam and wades out to throw her 4 opera nets out and catches red claw. She is an amazing lady and an inspiration to all.
Good onya Pearl! What a lady! You too, John, but you're not a lady. Love that view of the bovine neighbors wandering past the awning hehe. What a life!
