I was wondering whether my old motorhome "NFPA" (No Fixed Place of Abode) is still on the road, or maybe still being lived in, but parked up. We traveled some of WA, NT and QLD in her in the late 90's before selling her in Cairns. She was based on a D Series Ford truck, and had a 300cid inline 6 petrol engine with a 4 speed box. Good for 90kmh with a tail wind! She was a tough old girl, amongst other outback treks, we traveled up the Gibb River Road A framing a camper van back when the northern section was a bit of a goat track. The biggest issue was her rear overhang when traversing washouts. Many a rock was placed in front of her back wheels to keep her "bottom" clean!
