Back after Wuruma Dam

Back on line after three weeks at Wuruma Dam, just of the Burnett Highway north of Eidsvold, and south of Monto.  Great spot - but no phone or internet access - can get some reception at the "top of the hill" - about 1k up a dirt road!

Shopping is at either Eidsvold which has a Foodworks - a small town or at Monto which is a bit bigger with IGA as well as Foodworks, Jaycar, Mitre 10, newsagency and some cafes, and pubs.DSC01608.JPG

There were a few of us there - Rover and Yeoeleven, who have been there about five weeks or so, Old Boar was there till about two weeks ago, Cruisin Cruze, Solo Steve and Happy Wanderer, as well as ourselves.  Would have been great to see some more GN's - but with little or no internet it is difficult to encourage people to join us.  Some folks with boats have been getting red claw, and also some fish.

If you are looking for a great spot to spend some time, this is a recommendation.

We had only nice people while we were there - but had been told to be out before Easter, as a lot of local yokels come up then to camp.
