Thanks for the PM, Vic. I checked this post yesterday. Pics are a bit small to get a good look but I do like the idea of slide-ons. I'm delighted with mine even though she's an oldie. It's amazing how much usable space there is inside (including storage) and yet the whole rig fits within a normal parking spot.

If you get the chance get the movie out on DVD Gary, it will give you a bit more of an idea of what is was like, it shows the Chevy with and without the slide on.

The acquaintance of mine that goes to the US regularly buying old pick ups said some over there had two slide ons, one for short trips, eg; fishing etc like the one in the pic here, and wider ones for longer trips and stays....
