This is a really nice little spot to park up for a couple of days. I am in the CP at present which is spotless and in a nice spot. It is on the highway so traffic is heavy at times, but I have not found it too bad as far as noise goes. Right on the lake, great scenery and really nice people. Well worth the stop, as it is one of those little places that we tend to drive right on past.
I will go for a walk later in the afternoon to check out the museum and township after my domestic duties are complete.
Here are a few images. You will note that this particular park has a thong tree, now I do not want to cause havoc over this item but I could not resist posting a pic of it. Am I naughty, welll maybe a little.
It is a lovely place, if we stop there we don't stay in the van park, but around the lake where it is quiet and peaceful. However there are much quieter isolated places not far away and those are the places we tend to stop.
Went for a walk to the Catalina Museum this afternoon. A fascinating place to visit and so much history. I had no idea that they were so crucial to WW2 or the amount of work they did. $10 admission with seniors prices also. Well worth spending an hour or two here.

Looks a beaut place to stay for a while.
As regards to the thong tree, there is a huge difference. This one at Lake Boga is only on a dead stump, not slowly killing a beautiful tree in a reserve.

Every time I see one of those old telephone switchboards (the one you called the call centre ) it takes me back to my youth and even up to the early 70s.
I used to operate those - both telephone, telex and for international calls. It always makes me realise just how far technology (and our phones etc) have come in such a short time.

I was operating one of those in the late 70's as part of the duty roster in the RAAF
They had a bed in the same room with a 12 inch diameter alarm bell aprox 3 ft above the bed head...
boy did that one make you jump up to answer the call..........
Golly I think my supervisor at Vodafone would have loved one of those bells Mike.
Certainly the call centre was very different to having to use on of those. I did directory assistance and had a 21sec call time, would have taken that 21scs to find the number.
I admire you guys that you knew what cord went where.
