Well Folks apart from travelling this great land of ours, I have turned my hand to mounting medals. I used to play around with doing retirement boards etc when I was at work and quite enjoyed it, and on occasions I still have ex work colleagues call in home wanting a medal bar or something else done so I thought bugger it I will get some cards made up and drop them into the local RSL. Well I have been fortunate enough to get a few jobs and meet some very nice and interesting people too on the way. So I thought I would put a sample of my work on the forum for you all to see. Oh and it keeps my eye hand coordination up to date the only thing is the failing eyesight LOL
Do you know what ribbon, and how to attach the Anzac Cove medal??
I have my Grandfather's medal (big lump of medal) but it just sits in it's box.
I would like to be able to wear it at Anzac Day marches.
I do have an insignificant medal of my own, but would much rather have Pop's medal on display.

I joined the local menshed a few years ago. Great fun, good company and keeps the body and brain working. We do mostly woodwork, but there's also metalwork, painting, computer building and repairs, refurbishing furniture etc. I spend a lot of my time on the computers, but also make stuff in wood and my speciality, Biscuit Tin Banjo's. They are made to be played, but darned if I can, just a few chords. :)
