Pet Owners Beware Some Mongrel Leaving Slug Pellets Around in CP's

We are currently in a dog friendly CP on mid NW coast in Shark Bay, many grey nomads here with dogs.

Whilst walking my dog yesterday I came across two piles of slug pellets left on ground adjacent to bins in the park. I am a keen gardener so know exactly what they look and smell like and yes they were definitely slug pellets, so some heartless barsteward, obviously a dog hater, is doing this.

The ground is very dry shell grit so no other reason to be there.

Spoke to some other owners and it appears to be happening further south in WA too, so please take care with your dog and watch carefully what they may pick up, I just caught my Cavalier starting to pick the stuff up.

I cleaned it all up and binned it before thinking I should have photographed it, I was quite shocked to think someone could be so callous.

Brian can you please report this to the RSPCA they are currently doing an investigation South of Perth into this and might provide a link. 1300 278 3589

Thanks for the warning, though with luck this isn't happening now, a year later. I've been advised to muzzle my dog when travelling, in order to prevent her from picking up baits, discarded bones and other rubbish. It seems so harsh as she's a really friendly little thing. But if that's the only way to protect her from potential poisoning, then that's what I'll do.
Is it my imagination, or is there an insane amount more litter around these days?
