Palm Valley is great scenery and is worth the effort to get there, however it is definitely 4 wheel drive territory & a lot of it is along the side of the river bed over stones, small rocks and some soft river sand.
The rest of the road is very corrugated.
We ended up parking and walking into the last section.
Its well set up with good clean toilets and a good camping area.
