Depends what they're allergic to Johanna. If you have a local Library, try and get hold of a copy of a book called "The Complete Herbal Handbook for Cats and Dogs" by Juliette De Bairacli-Levy. [She knows what she's talking about.]
The other option is to check with your Vet.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Because I am not well at present and been trying to find solution, I forgot to mention that its not the dogs who have the allergy but my friend who is coming from Holland to spent some tome traveling with me and my dogs in a campervan (transit). Bit silly of me but with all the looking up on remedies and even sent some of my dogs fur(wool) to her to find if she was getting a reaction as normally wool is not the culprit but the coat (hairs) of dogs. My dogs are Bouviers they have wool. She did get a reaction.
Thanks and I might go to the library and advice her to do same. I have no luck with Google.
I'm sorry to say this but you might find the only thing to do is keep the allergic person separate from whatever causes the allergy... difficult in a small motor home.
Your dogs dont usually cause allergies, from what I could find. Doesn't seem fair!!
I don't know if this is any help, but my sons are allergic to horses and if they can't avoid one, they take Palaramine. It's nor ideal for constant use though. Can make you sleepy and dopey.
Thanks for that Beth , I just sent my friend an email. If she can't get Palaramine in Holland i wil get it here and send it with some of my dogs fur. which is wool.
Pity that this could ruin our holiday because we dont see each other that often and putting dogs in kennel they would fret. might try and get house sitter for the time we are on the road. than we only have problem when we get home, but we'l cross that bridge when we get there.
Can't help with the pet problem but it might be worth repeating this in the Pet section as well albeit a human reaction, a pet owner might know something also, see;
Friend from Holland is not coming. Will try next year. Yes vic .I got another transit, am decking it out, just got a bed made and get the carpenter who did such a great job on the other to make cupboards . Bought a Waeco fridge today, 200.00 off the price because i found the price tag inside from the week before when it was special. By the way do you know when the transplant day for donors is? I lost the email. Thanks .Regards jenny Have you still got my email address?
Could I sent it via this forum? Or does it have to be private. Dont know how else.
Very happy with this Transit van, might take another few weeks to get organised
but than i am off.
Have been low in health recently but getting the van in order giving me the
spirit to get on with it. Want to go Horrocks for a while to de-stress.
Dogs are great. Moving house the worst experience and still looking for stuff.
Removalist from mandurah was insured but put the phone down when i mentioned it.
Anyway I have to put it behind me, but i am still looking for my treasured horsebook
written in 1721 with great engravings on parchment paper in old english writing.
Might hear from you or catch up on the road somewhere. Jenny
You might want to arrange to visit Sufil (Sue and Phil) on the way near Seabird, they live on a small property on a nearby location, dogs allowed but need to be on leads if they chase chooks. Send them a pm if interested.
Glad you are getting things sorted out. Sad about your old horse book, I hope it turns up in the packed stuff somewhere.
