Hi to all that gave me sound advice for my recent trip to Uluru..
I totally enjoyed the experience, the wonder of Uluru and surrounding landscapes is breathtaking and lingers on in my mind....
I hired at car from Avis at Ayers Rock airport , and got to see the sites at my own pace .... way less expensive and more interesting than going on the designed tours.
stayed in very basic accommodation that was perfect, Pioneer Outback Lodge it didn't break the bank so to speak!!! and had all the amenities that were sufficient for my needs without the 5 star price tag.
All and all 5 days did allow me to see loads and spend as much time as I wanted exploring the different places, also met some smashing people along the way.... bush tucker, dot painting. listening to bush storytellers, tribal dancers etc.., a few beers and BYO meals .. loved it..
12 hours at Uluru was the highlight of the journey for me..
looking forward to experiencing more of this great country in the near future!
How......sounds a great trip Nora, can I suggest you pop any further posts in the appropriate sections of the forum as this is for introductions and you have already done that further down the page so can now "Graduate"
Make sure you keep enjoying the playground though.
