The "free" camp is on the SA Sports Oval complex (patch on the eastern side.

We stayed for 2 nights last weekend.

Upside

Great shower ($20 key deposit and $5 a night)

VERY clean toilets (cleaned daily by volunteers)

Close to town.

Down side

A bit dusty

Have to be self contained despite dust and thirsty trees

No dump point yet and the occasional train.

This is a great place to stay a night or two. Fees payable at the IGA or a local servo (details on sign at the loo) I guess you can stay for free if you dont need a shower... Council are very strict on letting water go onto the ground so carry a container, goodness knows where you can empty it.
