It was Dig at the Diesel Mechanic.. - At least I know that You Are full qualified and have the experience behind you..
I have the A grade and the time in the field behind me.. - I also have over 6+ years of time spent doing various Different Courses related to My Trade Qualifications and Also time spent doing a series of Course related to Renewable energy.. - I'm very pedantic in the Research I do with regard to Solar and renewable as a general item to use in Life.. I have always admitted that I'm a dabbler in many fields of interest...
The one field where I have spent my money I have researched extensively..
SO PHIL C Sorry if I upset you..
Juergen
Juergen, I was not upset over your comments and thank you for the apology. I was trying to say that the military train their people in most aspects of different trades. Our friend the diesel mechanic has probably got more hours in auto electrical than I do and im guessing he knows a lot more about it.
My biggest upset is the way some members post corrections and the way their facts are presented (we dont need dot points or red ink, we are not stupid), its almost as if we are all fools and these guys the only smart ones here. Also, they must know who they are and they go on as if all is normal, not even a hint of an apology.
Now Blue may be 100% wrong BUT there is a way to tell him that without the abuse and the sarcastic, bombastic comments.
My major frustation is why do we need to do this? Its a bloody technical forum guys, we are not rewriting Grob, Jenneson or Hansen.
Thanks for the consideration Juergen, I very much appreciate it.

ok, if no ones got anything more constructive to add to this circuit, its 100% accurate, least two of us are using it in our cars already...
then I guess we could ask Cindy to remove the abusive, intimidating and dented ego posts and Stick it up as a sticky...

If anyTom Dick or Harry is going to be able to put up stickys this forum will become a laughing stock.f
Cindy,g I beg you make sure any sticky is correct factual before it is allowed
HAVE them checked by people competent in the particular field.
PeterQ
Im going to land this back in your court PeterQ. Im getting tired of your rudeness.
HI
NO, NO, not suitable as a sticky!!! Why? people have been doing this for years eg spotlight circuits straight off the positive of the high beam post protected with a fuse both in the switch control and output circuits.
It is exactly the sort of thing that should not be made a sticky, misleading errors, incorrect info Where is he being misleading? see above
Leads people down the garden path Rude and not necessary Peter!
If anyTom Dick or Harry is going to be able to put up stickys this forum will become a laughing stock.f Again RUDE and not necessary!!!

im not sure why you are personally attacking anyone snowt, and what you think Diesel Mechanics actually do...
Auto electrical is a large part of our jobs as many many many breakdowns are due to electrical faults...
people were talking in your "sticky" thread about debating and being respectful to others knowledge whether they be a tradesman or enthusiast..
every single on of those people are now in here with verbal abuse, intimidation and bullying and trying to get the thread closed down..
you obviously have no problem with the above circuit diagram so you either agree that its 100% correct (which it is) or you don't understand it at all...
to be abusive for abusive sake is just extremely pitiful and any wonder why people are leaving the forum...

LOOK whos talking
Outright put downs of several long term posters
Blue you have shown your very limited electrical experience in a number of posts
Do you really believe your limited electrical experience in your field is comparable to electrical & electronic experts who have spent virtually their working life dealing with such matter I did ask you to explain the problems with PeterD 's original diagram& how it could causes damage, to the electronic ignition system
Blue you have shown your very limited electrical experience in a number of posts How in the name of goodness do you know what he has? AND who gives a stuff, its a friendly forum where people can make their own conclusions.
Do you really believe your limited electrical experience in your field is comparable to electrical & electronic experts like who? who have spent virtually their working life dealing with such matter I did ask you to explain the problems with PeterD 's original diagram& how it could causes damage, to the electronic ignition system
Why have you not come back with those answers?
Perhaps you do not realy know??? When I was in the RAAF a fellow would get a thump behind the lughole for such rudeness... Jesus Peter is it at all necessary???

Phil
Sorry,That you see it that way.
Yourposts show you are a nice friendly person but perhaps tech forums are not your cup of tea
There will always be friendly disagreement in tech forums between equals
.Just as there are difference of opinions in every field
But when some one comes up with crap & continue to claim they re right they deserve to be shot down
Misinformation should note be a part of any tech section INHO
If you do not understand that perhap, you would be best in say fire side chat??.
If you cannot see the many errors & misinformation in blues posts,t I am afraid that is your problem
PeterD,Myself & a few others have been long term posters on tech matters,I think, with most members, we have proven ourselves to be reliable sources.
So I will repeat,
"Cindyg I beg you make sure any sticky is correct factually before it is allowed""
How OR who she does to for that is her decision.
Perhaps she may even decide Stickys are a bad idea or even decide the tech section is not worth the trouble it gives her & removes it
Sad to say this has only started to become real bad in around the last 6 Months, I wonder why ?
Phil , may I ask you a question ? Have you been appointed as a moderator of this forum or have you just assumed the role.
Your posts seem to indicate you are trying to perform that role

I dont see the rudeness as friendly disagreement, Im sorry mate but it comes across as rude and not necessary. There are many ways to correct a person who has less technical expertise.
I do not agree that crap should be shot down, perhaps a well worded reply to point out the parts you believe are crap.
And at the end you get personal to me... Dont patronise me Peter... I will not be going to a fireside chat.
Im afraid you have said little to change my opinion of you.
I would like you to point by point, let us all know what is wrong with Blues post, I have seen heaps of these circuits in a lot of cars. Its a simple relay control.
I will not go into a corner sucking my thumb over this, I was bullied as a kid and hate put downs and rudeness with avengence. Im sorry that you cant find it in you to apologise for the rudeness and your caustic comments. I will be raising a formal complaint with Cindy over this.
No Peter I have not been appointed a moderator and would not like to be. I only want our forum to be a friendly low stress place for all to enjoy, without rudeness and putdowns.
I joined this forum about 6 months ago, so what are you trying to say here? Peter there is NO need for rudeness anywhere, especially in a low key forum like this. It is the best on the net, people have left because of the way some posts come across. Im sorry mate, most professional technicians are way more polite and know how to correct a person better than that.

HI phil
if you take any of my posts as personal attacks on you ,I offer my sincere apologies
I believe all my posts to you have been pointing out mistaken understandings or belief
Perhaps you should let Blue fight his own fight since he made it one, rather than you getting personally involved
Just sit back & watch unless you have relavent TECH comments to make
He still has not answered a series of questions put to him
I believe I have already made my points on several of blues posts including the current one
once again peter q your posts are aggressive, condescending and an utter disgrace to this forum...
I believe you owe phil an unreserved apology...
he is one of the nicest and fair forum members that I have ever come across and for you to wipe your feet on him is disgusting...
........
I have answered all of your questions and I will not go back to previous threads that have been locked due to your aggressive and nastiness....
I did originally get sucked in and fired back but I see what you are doing now.. you are baiting people into a confrontation...
the OP is 100% correct and you can not fault it or you cannot understand it as you do not have the expertise.. I know that this annoys you because you made yourself a "self proclaimed" expert on all matters and suggested others don't have a say in the "sticky" thread..
I don't care if you've been here 100 years... new members can and do contribute well.. but there's a handful of longer members who chase a lot of the newer members off if they think that they an intellectual challenge to them...
me.. I welcome anyone's point of view wether they are a Tradesman or enthusiast.. I am always willing to listen as sometimes I can pick up new information that I haven't heard before... to dismiss these people is to dismiss your own education....
you will not bully me...

Blue, where did anyone say it is inaccurate? What they are saying is the idea you put forth is the same as I posted that is in some of the latest Dometic handbooks. Either we are all right or all three of uI don't think this is a good ideas wrong. Also it was you that started the insults. What is id this Peter dee business, not knowing what you are on about I take this as a deep insult. At any rate I think Cindy has you marked.
As far as stickys go, I don't think they are a good idea. Have a look at forums where they are used and you will see you have to scroll too far down the page to get to the meat of the directory/board index.

Thank you Peter, I greatly appreciate your apology. Perhaps it was in haste to threaten a formal complaint, I apologise for that threat.
Please understand, that all military people stand shoulder to shoulder over all issues and support each other.
I cant understand why you have slammed Blue when in one of your earlier posts you told us this was the same as PeterDees circuit, which you endorsed. So Im at sea wondering why the problem.
OK, lets agree to disagree, and return to some normality. I would respectfully request that your posts take peoples feelings into consideration, I have chronic depression and can fire off at my pet hates (bullying is at the top of that list). You will never know how your words can and do affect people or their state of mental wellbeing, this is why I am so passionate about the way you present your comments in this forum. You do not know who will be reading and influenced to a bad decision over a few words, trust me I know. I have had two attempts to terminate my life over WORDS people have said and written (not here and not you Peter)
I have now trusted this forum with some very private information, I would ask ALL to respect that and be careful of the words they choose to publish and the way things are said here.
Thanks you again for your understanding.
Phil C

Okay, I am closing this thread down now. It seems that the techies’ section has, unfortunately, become a hotbed of dispute recently. I understand that it is very important that information given here is correct but it is also very important that we all treat each other – and our points of view – with courtesy and respect. The purpose of this section is for people to be able to help each other out with technical questions and to offer helpful advice. Could I ask everybody to please remember that as we go forward. And, as I have said many times before, if a member has any concerns about a particular post or a poster, then the best way forward is to contact me rather than getting involved in disputes on the forum itself. Thank you all for your understanding.
