I feel the climb up the range here is one not to be done unless you have plenty of grunt as it is a long, unrelenting climb up and no easy trip down on your brakes. I suggest you park the van at the freecamp at Thora which is Ok, and drive up for the day. There are much worse climbs, I'm sure, but this one is not going to be done again by me and my current rig.
