we visited my Father, 89 today,,, he has dementia badly,,, has been move out of his Nursing Home at Gumeracha SA due to the bushfires last week, moved twice and now at Eudunda Hospital where the staff are FANTASTIC.
Lovely drive up rain showers most of the way, more on the way. Great for our farmers eh.
Rain and $ down to 81c will be boost to agriculture.
So a great day.

Looked at an over 55 lifestyle village as an option to allow extended travel.
Nice area neat little houses.
Cant get my head around the asking prices nor the exit fees (6% per year for first 6) a whopping 36% of the sale price if you sell after 6 years...Plus 300/month maintenance fees plus rates plus power and insurance etc?
They tell me its the lifestyle you are paying for....I think its financing someone else's lifestyle is what its about.
I think I would get a better lifestyle in a caravan park with no capital outlay...and the weekly fees cover all outgoings.
All to complex for me...
But had a good time looking around and its a start to getting us in the mindset of moving to the next stage (whatever that is).
I had to attack the Thetford cassette full light staying on after I had emptied it!!!! I had left the cassette full for several weeks to break all solids down. I am careful not to swish liquid around during emptying after watching youtube videos some months ago. I eventually tracked it down to the magnetic switch. With the help of a mirror, phillips screwdriver, and cutting 2 wires I was able to extricate the beast. I had tapped it quite hard hoping that it would fix itself!!! One I had it out I flicked it with my finger and it released. I figured that I did not want to go through this procedure again.
Checked caravan suppliers online to find almost $40!!!! I cut the rubber encasing the switch, and removed the offending device. About half the size of a grain of rice with a lead wire out each end. Googled and found Jaycar has a switch that will fit in the rubber encasement for $1.95 and we have a Jaycar outlet here in Ballarat.
Body aches all over BUT I did gain some knowledge and got the job half done!!

hi , omg. that is ridiculous. I just shake my head. I agree with you. you would get a better lifestyle in a caravan park without the outlay. when we finish travelling maybe that will be what we do. anyway, keep us all posted. I am sure we are all interested. regards. rocket.
LOL Rocket. To prove that the magnet on the float was still ok I had a light with a magnetic switch in it so I put it against the cassette and the light operated, so I knew it was in the circuit outside of the cassette....
I am still trying to make Athena mine, putting picture frames up, and a few ornaments, actually put my books on display., where I can easily get to them.
You having a good day Rocket??

Hi Dougwe, that sounds a good day. been raining here to off and on for 2 weeks. today is fine and we had to move. go figure. regards. rocket.
After the effort yesterday all I got done today was to put some spiral wrap around the short lead from the inverter to the power board, approx. 400mm. Rest of day recovering!!!!
I have sold the Club lounge and am delivering it to near Hamilton Vic approx 19th. We will have a few free camp days around that area after we drop the lounge off. Looking forward to another break.

Hi Rocket, with these, I had to spacer them up 50mm for Eril and almost 100mm for me to be comfortable. I have yet to make up neat spacers!!! Now have to sort the area above the wheel arches when we work out the best way to utilise the space.

Designed and started making some double hinges for the driveway gates to get an extra 150mm width to try and get our caravan in when we pick it up. Currently the opening is 2.5m wide and the caravan 2.4m ! Having never had a trailer before I want at least a big a chance as possible. Failing that we will need to park it at my Mother-in-laws who has a 2.6m wide second driveway, although there is a tree on the verge right next to the driveway!.
Turned the main hinge pins up on the lathe and cut some 10mm steel for the arms!

Did not much today at all - raining in the morning, so the monthly mrket here was cancelled - bummer! Sat around, played on ipad, talked, visited, early night. Moving on today!
