Rod and I aRe animal sitting in Tamworth and renovating our van. I was such a beautiful day so we headed into town to see what this Festival was all about.i am a blues, soul and jazz lover.
It was fabulous and some much amazing talent out there. As you walk up the Main Street music everywhere, there is nothing better than music to calm the soul.
I couldn't stand still and the feet were going and I was singing away. Can I sing, sort of but nothing to rave about.
Will be heading in again as we may as we'll enjoy the opportunity while we are here.
traaaaalaaalaaaala.

Sue - one of our GN's was performing at Tamworth yesterday, they were in a hall, The Drewsters - it is Milo from this site and his mate. Haven't heard how they went yet - but it must be a ball there through the festival time!! Trouble is, where do you stay!!!!!

Hi Jules, we missed the Drewsters as I saw it on the website. Will have to check if Milo is on again and try and get there.
We have been lucky staying at a private place but there seems to be heaps of vans everywhere. Not sure about free camping. We have musios renting the front house and they are amazing.Great jam sessions at night. I am really glad we have had the opportunity to be here and enjoy some amazing artists young and old.
It beats painting the inside of the van. I would rather paint the inside of a house than the van but once it is finished it will be lovely and fresh. I won't be thoughLOL
Travel with care
Sue

Jules, we are currently house sitting for a lady who has gone to Tamworth for the festival. She and her companions (about 10 vans I believe) are camped at the Showgrounds, but have been booked in quite a while ago. I think she said she was paying $400 for 10 days.

Loved the Wallabadah gardens and a great wee camp site. We have stayed there twice. Stopped in winter and in the morning there was frost on the ground and I walked around the gardens.Loved it, so well done
