SOLO DOG/CAT LOVERS

Hi everyone, just trying to find some like minded friends. And when I say dog lovers I mean people who really love their fur babies, not people who just  like animals biggrin Anyone?

All I can say Didi is just love your fur baby while you can, they return all the love you give 10 fold.  Cheers Colleen

Fatdog has outlasted all my relationships... I don't know how he puts up with me....our furry friends are definitely less complicated and more loyal..

Fatdog sounds wonderfulbiggrin  Yes I think humans have a lot to learn from dogs. I would happily share my home with a dozen or so.... but can only take one or two humans that close lol

Have to love them. My little fellow Tommy came down all weird last week like he had a stroke. Anyway turns out it's "old dog's disease". He's ok but could happen again. 2 days later my bigger dog Shaddie went missing in a storm while I was out. Looked everywhere and she eventually arrived back at 4am next day very sore and sorry. But they're my little kids so have to look after them and love them to bits.

Hi Dogsnme,

I have had a couple of episodes with Molly. She goes all stiff and is sort of out of it. Only lasts a few seconds and then she carries on as if nothing has happened. Seems to suffer no after effects. She is ten. I expect to have her until she is about 16. Is this "old dogs disease"? What is it and can we do anything about it?. Two vets have just shaken their heads and said don't know.

Hi Mel, yes it probably is. Tommy's eyes sort of went from side to side while it was happening and that what the vet said is one of the main symptoms. They are not in pain, just confused. If it gets really bad they give valium to calm them. If they start to throw up and cant eat or drink they put them on a drip. I think if they got to that stage I would be having a rethink. I'll get back to you with the medical term and you can google it. Tommy's 11 and pretty fit otherwise. Just haveto keep an extra eye on them. Noela.

Don't really think dogs are a problem at freebies. If they are properly restrained which most of them are no worries. My black dog thinks every other dog is going to kill her but soon gets over it. All dogs are like people (better though) they all have their little faults. Go for it. Buy a bi

Sometimes the more I have to do with people the more I love my dogs lol. What's this about a solo women's thing? I give up my house and go permanently on the road early march. The overwhelming emotion at the mo is fear so to tag along with someone for a while could be good.
