Happy Australia Day. What a wonderful country we live in, we have our problems yet we are so lucky in so many ways. We tend to whinge about the simplest of things, and are we not lucky that we can. We travel with freedom, we don't have to worry too much about anything at all really. Yes, we all have our worries, personal to our own circumstances, but take a step back and really look and I think you might find that life is pretty sweet compared to the rest of the world.
A beautiful country full of wonderfully beautiful people, all with a fantastic story to tell, and sitting around a campfire listening to those stories are what make this country so great. See you out there in this wonderful land somewhere to share those stories one day.
Have a great day everyone no matter what you are up to.
Thank you BruceandBev - that is lovely of you to say that, will have to meet up somewhere, and give you a big hug.
We will be in WA from about August/September till sometime over the summer - going to Seabird the first weekend in October, if you are around then, all Grey Nomads are most welcome there, camp, meet some great people, and generally have fun!!!

Just spent the weekend out at Kandos annual hot rod show..
I was amassed how many fellow RV's came up to say "good aye"..
Cannot get more Aussie than that...
Bit late .. Have a great day .. Graeme & Ann..
Perth doesn't have a fireworks display on New Years Eve as most other cities do - instead it was held on the river in the central city last night.
Because travel is such a bitch, even with a great public rail network, we had the 82 yr old mother in law with us and as shes a bit slow on her pins, we decided to go to a park about 8 km north of the city. It meant she didn't have to walk far and we would be able to drive and be in front of the masses who still drove right into the city.
Not bad - fireworks best viewed close up, but we met that other great Australian - and got eaten by all the mozzies!!!!
Our son wore one of those new wrist/ankle bands that has a replaceable insect repellant (being flogged in many chemists and on-line and costs about $15). Might work well on the smaller spotted fish biter from Angola - but totally useless on Australian mozzies - total waste of money. We only bought them about 3 weeks ago. So will be trying to get a refund and adversely reviewing them on-line
