Merna Morna Station

Hi all

We are new to Forum

Starting to plan our trip to W.A. leaving Buff Point in early May. We are looking at staying at Merna Morna Station on edge of Flinders Rangers N.P. for a few nights just wondering if any members have stayed there

Welcome to the gang Dazell, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I'm sure someone will come along with answers to your question. If not maybe pop the question in the "General" section of the forum.

Hi Dazell

we stayed there a couple of years ago in September. It was lovely (ask for shaded site) and make sure you don't get the camp site right next to the camp kitchen Where we were stuck. By the time we had our awning up no one from our side could access through to the ammenities without walking through our verandah, very annoying. Sites are fine gravel Which you would expect in this area.

Our daughter and family stayed in the shearers quarters and were very happy with the accommodation. It's a bit of a hike through into the FLinders proper, nearly an hours drive one way to Parachilna gorge etc so you'll need to build that into your travel times.

the station had a couple of tours that we didn't go on as we'd travelled the area extensively before. Lots of great photo opportunities.  Join wiki camps and you can access the photos Or Google www.mernamora.com.au.

safe travels
