This was the first day that I have travelled without a destination planned, I have always had a Camps reference to get to.
This was the first time that I have used a GPS to guide me on my way, it was good but took me through Benella instead of taking me the truck route that I used last time which was quicker and easier.
This was the first time that I have camped other than in a recognized camping area. Am now in the Caltex Service Centre at Yass hiding between many huge trucks. not a good idea 'cos they are coming and going and very noisy.
But I am very organized other than this destination, went to Aldi in Maroopna and bought goodies for the trip and have an opened packet of pitted dates and soft liquorice sitting on the passenger seat and a cooler flask of orange juice just behind. This was a first too, I have never prepared so well.
Stopped at a Macca's for lunch and had two sleeps during the trip as well as a visit to Gundagai, what an interesting town with a literary history. The dog on the tucker box is widely known as is the story of Dad and Dave, Mum and Mabel all originating from Gundagai.
Covered over 500kms at an average speed of 75kph and was on the road from 8.30am to around 7.00pm. Am hoping that as the night moves on the truck movement lessens and that I don't get moved on. Oh well time will tell and I have to get out of my comfort zone every now and then. John
Travel safe John. Have a wonderful cruise and looking forward to all the goss from the high seas. I am sure your posts will be just as interesting and entertaining. Catch you out there somewhere one day.

I am fun and adventure. So much to see, so much to do, so many people to meet. Will see, do, and meet all that I can.
Good morning John, I am sure you have been up and long gone by now, there is no reason you can't stay in with the trucks. I did it in my camper, was the only one there when I went to sleep, when I woke to find lots of trucks and my little camper, looked so tiny. Hope when you read this you have had a good day.
John, hope you slept well - you will be well on the road by now - don't push too hard mate, make sure you take a lot of rest stops or you will arrive on the GC that tired, you will sleep your time on the cruise away.
Hi to June from us - and hope to see you soon.
