Be aware that the WA Govt is stepping up the 1080 baiting through the auspices of it's Western Shield program that is supported by the mining industry, it has now developed a 1080 bait for cats and is going to roll it out across WA I do not have the particulars of the make up of the baits but as 1080 is not usually effective with cats except in extremely high doses they maybe higher than normal in potency. Be aware the warnings that accompany these baits are to keep them from small children as well as domestic animals, those travelling through WA with children need to be aware of the risks as well as pet owners.
