Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself and the missus, before we pick all the best bits out of you to get our old bus up to speed. Although we did the "Big Loop" back in '96 in a little wind up pop top van, we recently purchased an old 1989 Mitsubishi Rosa bus.
It has already been converted and has a half-assed solar array on the roof. For those who don't know the Rosas, they are only 7 metres long...very similar to a coaster. The bus has ac, ( but it only operates when the motor is running...:) it operates from the rear roof space, and since the conversion people built full height cupboards and a shower, they cut the ducting that feeds to the front...(cab area) of the bus. I have just bought a maxxair 10 speed roof vent, and a fan I had intended to mount in the cab area to cool us whilst driving. my question is: Should i fit the vent to the rear, near the bed to utilise it whilst sleeping, or fit it about the cab to feed fresh air in whilst driving, and hopefully still extract the hot air when parked up (it is reversable). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, and we look forward to annoying the bejesus out of all of you for a very long time to come :) thanks.
Welcome Mr Devonian - have seen a few motorhomes and buses with the Camfaro fans positioned behind the café seating, these fans can be turned either way quite easily, so they can blow air into the cab or over the eating area. I would have the vent near the bed, friends have one and swear by it.
Enjoy the forum and your travels.

Welcome to the gang Mrdevonian, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I would fit it to the back for night relief. You have windows at the front to help out there. Maybe even later down the track you could fit another 10 speeder for the front.
Whatever you decide, enjoy and keep safe.
