Welcome to the gang goldenyears, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Retire hey, not what it's made out to be mate and I tell you that for free.

This is a 24/7 thing, no weekends, no public holidays, no sick leave, no annual leave, if yo need to do anything to the van etc you can only do it between 10.00 - midday and union rules state you must take a one hour break in that time. So now you know about "retirement" do you really want that confuseconfuse

Keep Safe

Welcome golden years.

Yeoeleven did his trip around Oz in a Hi Ace (now has a Coaster) and his blog is well worth reading right from the beginning when he first bought his Hi Ace.

This is his blog link;  http://yeoeleven.blogspot.com.au/?view=flipcard

Others on here have also tripped around in similar vehicles.

2 - 3 months for the whole trip or 2 - 3 months to Cairns? The latter I trust?

2 to 3 months from July/August gets you September/November. Not the time to be up north.

Leaving at that time of year I would suggest going clockwise instead.

Cheers,

Peter
