Lemair Washing machine - need advice

Our Lemair washing machine - continuously empties the water out of the drain hose
as it fills up at the beginning of the the wash cycle and never gets to the washing bit

It has been a great machine and used a lot without troubles for the 2 years we have been on the road

Has anyone got an easy solution for this recent trouble

Thanks

G'day and welcome to the forum. someone will have the answer, but I wonder if the outlet is lower than the inlet. If you were to post this in the techies forum someone will have the answer
Cheers

Welcome to the gang Judi, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I don't speak dirty so can't comment about "working" etc but I'm sure KFT will come along soon and say something or at least take this topic  image.jpg

Hi Judi, I had this problem with my Lemair a few months back and thought I was up for a new machine but when I told hubby what was happening he simply raised the drain hose so it was a few inches higher (just needs the bent bit of the hose to be higher) than the machine and hey presto problem solved. Trust me there was no one more surprised than me cos my hubby is not technically minded at all.

If the drain hose of the washing machine is fully sealed, clamped etc. to the drain system of your van, it can set up a syphon. This happened to me once. I overcame the problem by installing a syphon breaker at the highest point in the drain, or over flow hose.

If you think this may be the problem, then we will have to go to step 2 and work out a solution.
