My wife and I hail from Penrith in NSW and are eager to do 'a', not necessarily 'the', big trip in a couple of years when my long service leave is up. The plan is to follow the coast from Wollongong to Melbourne, across to Tassie to do the three corners we missed out on when we went there in 2006, back to Melbourne, re-visit the Great Ocean Road and follow the coast to Adelaide, do Kangaroo Island then follow the coast to Perth and see how much time (and money) we have left. If time and cash are not an issue then we'll meander up to Carnarvon before heading home. At the moment we tent it (in caravan parks, I'll post a pic or two in the appropriate section) but we're thinking of upgrading to a campervan or some such for the extended trip. Cheers,
Welcome McJimbo
not sure how much long service leave you have buts that's a lot of travel for the usual 3 months..
It took us three just to go from Melbourne across to and around the SW corner of WA and that seemed a rush at the time :)
G'day Jim we welcome you both to the forum hope you enjoy your time with us and out in the big playground may meet up sometime I hail from Mt Riverview.
