Save all your old toothbrushes, green and yellow pot scourers, etc. Can be used for scrubbing footwear and anything else that doesn't need clean water, plus nooks and crannies around the wheels.

Use you old dishwash water and have a good old scrub. I've just done my (foot) thongs. Came up well.
