Insurance cover

Hello every one

We are really green Nomads got the caravan Car to pull it and lots of advice from friends. I am retiring in July and we thought we had better organise insurance. This is where the trouble starts I have been working around Australia in recent years and had no need for personal household insurance as this was covered by the company.

Since we don't own a house we cant get this cover

I rang three insurance companies and they all said the maximum insurance I could get to cover my stuff in the Van was $1000.00. We would appreciate any help and advice

Wayne

Welcome to the gang Wayne and Lesley, enjoy here and out in the playground.

You will really enjoy retirement but will soon ask yourself, how you had time to go to work.

As to your Insurance question, I use the "General" insurance section from my private health fund and very happy with them. If you have private health insurance check to see if they have a general insurance offer.

Keep Safe.

The $1000 is the coverage that comes with the van insurance itself. You can take out additional cover on top of that.

Thank you I covered that option and three Insurance companies I approached said this cover was separate. I just want to make sure that no other people get caught out. Thanks for your input
