How beautiful, lush vegetation. Little red flying foxes visit there.

Looks like a great spot. Is it full at this time of year? What I like about other people's travels is hearing about places I never knew existed.

 yes it is beautiful, yes there are a few ppl here, but not overly crowded

Fantastic place.

We left there 2 days ago after a 4 day stay. Spent hours just floating down the Bitter Springs. Permanent heat of 32 degrees in the water.

we were in Mataranka for a couple of days 6 & 7 July. Saw the Elsey homestead and the springs and yes it was so lush and green. Spent quite a bit of time in the water at Bitter Springs. Beautiful spot I hope to be able to return to one day

Yes a great spot Fran, both there and Bitter Springs.    Don't be in too much of a hurry to go south, the weather is atrocious! smile
