once again another newbie

Hi all, thanks for accepting me, not new to camping but definitely new to a forum. I travelled around our wonderful country as a young one, and would like to do the same eventually with my partner and little one. So far, we've only done Tasmania, and as we realised, using the camps 7 book as our guide, there wasn't many great camping places, (2 swags and a car full of all the needs) so I was hoping a forum would help me out to organise our next trip down lakes entrance way and bemm river.

Any suggestions of camping areas down that way?

G'day youngcampers.

Welcome to the team, stay safe and enjoy.

Try "wikcamps" an excellent app for computers ,iPads mob' phones, costs about $7 but well worth it.

See ya down the track sometime, somewhere.

Welocome to the gang youngcampers, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Not a lot of freebies over that way but a few good CVP's.

We were thinking of maybe going to SA, see some family, and head to coober pedy, but I'm not quite sure what the roads like as I dont have a 'decked out' 4wd, and weren't sure if my little one (will be 5 when we go) will like the opal mines etc. Pretty sure ill have better luck with camping over that way?

Welcome to the forum "youngcampers" - no need to worry about 4WD, we travelled around the country last year, in our Jayco Conquest motorhome without a problem.
Have also down the centre from Three Ways to Adelaide - good roads all the way, it is only if you want to go somewhere quite remote you would really "need" a 4wd.

My son took a Nissan Pulsar out to have a look at Rainbow Valley near Alice Sprigs, (4wd recommended road) - made it in and out no problems.

Enjoy the forum, join in the discussions in all the other sections - i.e. get togethers, techies, solos etc., don't have to be a solo to post there. Most of all have fun out there.
