tested batteries after sitting for a week with no load on. (aim was to be confident batteries ok) the three of them were 12.9 and it was after sunset . Put a bit of load on and only dropped to 12.8, (but fridge isn't running )
purchased 200wt portable solar system with seperate regulator and seperate feed to the batteries.
So we will have 2 systems, 2 regulators , I set batteries. installing 150ml fan behind top of fridge and small fan down bottom. we do have top and bottom vents (I Dianne thought we only had one) sadly Kev we haven't got an access door for cleaning and maintanence only able to remove the two vents
So!!!!!! it probably won't get much of a test until October on our next trip. But sincere thanks to everyone. We are really hoping the above mentioned easy improvements make a difference before we have to delve any deeper. In which case, I'll be back on here.
Hi Dianne and Stuart,
Did you receive my email yesterday? I accidently sent it as a private message as I'm new to the Grey Nomads forum and don't know my way around it. Anyway did you ever get to the bottom of your fridge problems? As we have an identical problem and I may be able to give you an insight that might help.
Kind Regards
Ronnie and Kim
