Even the local committee were debating a few minutes ago if to go in the water or not. Don't blame them really. After a few days of very inviting weather to go in the water it has changed over night, as a lot of areas in the playground. The weather gods have told me that it will only be around a couple of days.
Happy ? campers everywhere as we spaek due to the unofficial Melbourne Cup Extra Long Weekend. Don't people ever work these days ??

Thinking of all you nomads at Greens, I was going to come for the weekend but looked at the forecast and said to myself, hop in the spa, grab a bottle of red and some chips and think of all those on the river in their tents etc also having a good time
Ken
As usual Mike the storm hit quick and hard. A few tents didn't survive and two awnings that I know off won't see another day. Glenelgs gazebo also won't see another day.
Water everywhere and I don't mean in the lake although that looks like it got a few more litres in it as well.
No injuries or missing items or people that I know of.
Overall not bad really. Being prepared is definitely the way to be here at Greens. Anywhere for that matter.
All calm as we speak.

I put a gazebo up on sat and was waiting for the canopy to go flying, but it stayed put
Glad I was not at Greens otherwise I may have had another avatar photo taken
Ken
Have you had much of the rain, have had plenty in Melbourne over the last couple of days. I hope to get up soon, I have some commitments here until the middle of December, then hope to get up for a break. May try a day visit.
Stay dry
Judy

Yes Judy, we got hit last Saturday with a bigggy, 100kmh , so they say, wind and heavy rain and extremely strong wind and rain all night Wednesday, last night. Still doing the same as we speak and more of the same till Saturday so the weather gods say. The rain god and wind god are not very nice at all.
