Love flatties , beautiful eating and so easy to fillet .

Yep been bread n butter fisho for as long as the brain lets me remember :) ,Have fished from WA to QLD n just about caught everything on my bucket list save for the KG Whiting which all going well will get ticked off. Bought a Van n sold the big tinny (Big mistake ) selling the big tinny that is :). Went into withdrawels so just had to get another tinny though smaller this time keep the nerves from falling apart :). So keen have made my own cast nets , lures to custom rod building though wouldnt go down that track again , just use that spare time to either fish or hook the Van up n travel N.S.W. Northern Rivers has been more than kind for fishing off the bank and mainly chase Whiting , Bream , Jew n Flatties with other species. Some really beutifull country down that way which still awaits exploring with Nambucca Heads prime for blackies(luderick) using cabbage sea cabbage that is on a paternoster rig as am not flamboyant or patient enough to sit there staring at a float bobbing up n down, go crosseyed lol. someone mentioned Iluka ??, yes true right from the little beach to the right of the breakwall to all the way out along the breakwall BUT !!! Keep a good eye on the sea , swell n waves and if your getting on in years like me look for the flat n easy rocks to get to with a good easy fast exit. Good fish get caught in the rocks below , let it go dont try scramble down after it. Yes always carry a swag od soft plastics but its the fresh bait that get the feed mostly. Only release with this little ducky is if they are too small , not to taste , or if weve caught our feed then I stop fishing. like I said :), bread n butter fisho only :). Most important I feel if most our younger generation took an interest in Recreation activeties akin to fishing , camping halfe the battle won in their life n outlook. not many fish ive had an interest in chasing , catching and havent done so :).
