We have a 10 m fifth wheel which is about 4 m tall at highest point. Branches are a real concern. We did put a remote video camera on the roof but its field of view is so great that no information was obtained except that there might be trees ahead. We were driving through Palenque Chiapas, Mexico (where the famous Mayan site is) and realized the camera was pointing at the sky. It had been snagged by some vines going across the road. They were still wrapped about the camera when I climbed up to see what was wrong.

Elaine is a much better driver and does the backup up. It is my job to (try) to make sure we do not hit anything. We have taken off twigs but nothing that would cause damage. I get up on the rear ladder and keep in contact with a small Motorola radio.
