Rainy you will be made most welcome but if we don't know you it is important that you contact us, Dave is in the 5th wheeler next to the boat ramp. Doug is in the Chief next door and I am in the Coaster next to him. There are others here but that will get you started.
So when will we expect to see you and what is your transport?
thanks for your reply. We have a camper trailer. we hope to go off Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the weather. I reach retirement age on Friday and my wish was to go camping. Is there fish in the lake as I got a rod for last xmas and have not used it
DarylC put up a separate thread about the numbers etc, also put a link in his comment just above.
Now, these numbers are over the last few years BUT fish being fish I am sure the boy's and girl's fish get up to mischief out there behind the shelter sheds, well in this case, weeds etc SO sure there has been many many "Baby" fish over the years as well, adding to the numbers that may have been taken by the Aliens out in the middle of the lake, birds, bigger fish, and anyone lucky enough to hook one (not Yeoeleven ) LEADING to the number over 50,000.
Confused? Why should you be different to me/us
Keep Safe on the roads.

Hi Rainy. It is a an old bush method. Gelignite in a bit of hessian. I think it got its name from when crackers or fireworks were made in China/Hong Kong and it roughly resembled the shape of a prawn. It would go off and the fish were all left stunned and floating on the surface and easy to collect. I don't think it was exactly legal but it was extremely effective.
Reminds me of how to catch worms, the wriggly ones that is.....
.....get 2 screwdrivers and put electric cable to each, fit a 3pin plug to the other end of both cables, plug in to power and stick screwdrivers in ground about a metre apart and watch the wrigglers come to the surface. I did it many moons ago and it works.
Make sure the kids don't see you though and stand back until the power is off, just in case. I'm still here so all good.

Sounds like Bear Grillas,s survival skills. Love your chief name, when I was in scouts, mine was rainy, chief dark cloud. No chance of me bringing rain this weekend. Do not want to intrude on your chilling out time (others) on Friday to share cake and happy hour to celebrate my 65th and being officially retired. Best birthday wish was camping.
