We had a really rough year with medical and my work so have decided that we needed something more out of life,
My wife and I (Im 38 now) with our 11 month old baby sold most of our stuff, stored the rest and have hit the road in a camper trailer long term, we have been on the road for a little over a month now and in that time have moved from Melbourne, to Canberra, Sydney then to Brisbane and now a bit inland to near Dalby (Lake Broadwater) for Christmas / New Years.
I am a Microsoft Guru, and the plan is to get contracting work and move as needed, so far i have a bit of work lined up in Brisbane & Sydney so will be driving between those cities as needed, with the off time spent traveling or setup somewhere not too expensive.
Our setup is a MDC Soft floor camper trailer with a few additions to make it more comfy.
Lots of helpful people in here, all you need to do is pop a question into the appropriate section of the forum or do a search of the thousands of answers already in here.
We are a happy bunch, often going off topic just to enhance a conversation.
I am sure you will enjoy the lifestyle out here in the playground.
The "Chief of cheer" will be along I am sure to welcome you also. Keep an eye on him cause often leads people
