Agree! Although I wasn't at the big Xmas gathering during the day I do know the amount of work and cost that went into the day. Well done Plendo (David and Carol), Glenelg (Dave) and The Wanderers (Don) for his knife skills I believe.
I arrived around 7.30pm and the festivities and food were still plentiful as well as all Boxing Day and into Boxing Day evening. All food gone. Well done all. Glad you all had a great day, well, two days. Photo proof of the day was done by the Greens Lake photographer who has since left us with no evidence and is enjoying a Northern Journey.

Thank you Dad (Glenelg) and Doug for your kind words.
The whole thing would not have been possible without the help of our on site organiser Glenelg (AKA Animal), who organised the people, made sure everyone knew what was happening when, then came on the trip to Melbourne to help us organise the supplies. Dave also made a significant contribution financially. Thanks Dad without your help the whole day would not have happened.
When the day turned out windy we could not use the spit as planned, so we had to revert to plan B, where we borrowed a couple of Webbers, thanks Dave, Heather, and Norma. We then proceeded to cook four lumps of meat on three Webbers. The wind remained all day, but at least it kept the flies away..
It was worth all the effort to watch people enjoying themselves, hoeing into the food, and mixing it up with lots of fun and laughter.
Took me Father Christmas suit back to store yesterday as the top was to small. They told me nothing wrong with the top just get a smaller guy to put it on. Bugger. was she trying to tell me something.
