What brand & model of water pump.

What sort of water pump should I purchase. Looking for a 12 volt pump that I can pump from a creek & use for a shower etc near & around the van. Prefer something that doesn't take a lot to prime or is self priming, reasonably compact & light, let's say about 3 meter head or more & maybe have a filter on so the van tanks can be filled, & a bit of pressure for a good shower. Van has solar & batteries so 240volt even would be considered but not preferred. Cheers Barry I.

Purchase 12 Volt shower from Ray's, BCF or BBQ's Galore for around $29.00 (submersible pump).

Thanks for that Possum3, Thinking more of a pump that I can throw a hose in the creek 20 or 30 meters away & pump fresh water & fill a couple of 80 lt tanks in 5 or 10 minutes or so. I do have a little shower pump, probably the one you mention, that you can throw in a bucket & shower with.

Welcome to the gang barryji2, enjoy here and out in the playground.

As for a water pump, I use a self priming pump I got of evilbay to pump water from containers to van tanks. You need 12v power though. Although I haven't had the need to yet I have been told it will pump from a creek or lake etc to the van tanks. There are different sizes so just type in 12v water pumps on evilbay and go from there.

I fitted a Anderson plug near the water inlet on the van to power the pump and anything else on that side of van if needed.
