catch up in Tassy

Hi all.  I'll be travelling around Tassy for 5 weeks from mid February.  Would love to catch up for a cuppa if anyone's around.  Cheers

Hi Just you,

Enjoy Tas, best place in the country, I've been often in my camper but this time will be going via a bigger carrier, "Dawn Princess", travelling around Australia but won't get to Hobart until April 4th, if you still around, the coffee is on me, too bad your not there longer, the best rural show in Australia is on in Tassie in May, on 5th,6th,7th 2016, "Agfest" you would really enjoy it.

Kevin.

We're in Tassie, going South /  East to get away from smoke up North at the moment.

Mid Feb prob on East coast and we try to free camp as much as possible.

Keep in touch.

Just met a guy and his wife today - from Darwin - they will be on the ferry on 14th February as well - Pete and Deb, in a Monte Carlo motorhome.

thanks for the replies, on the board and private.

I'll be in a white 1996 hiace hitop van with security screens  on the windows.

Probably heading over the west coast first, the down to Hobart, then back up.

As Tassie isn't as huge as qld, I'm pretty flexible with dates.

Cheers and hope to catch up soon

Justme, you are in for a surprise, if you flatten Tassie it would be larger than QLd. In 5 weeks you will barely make it around Tassie if you do indeed stop to look at what is on offer. Enjoy your stay. I have been here 18 years and still have not seen it all. Cheers Allen.

Yeah,  I know 5 weeks isn't long enough.  but, hopefully I'll get a reasonable look around.

Unfortunately I still have a dog in Brissy who'll miss me, and 1 at uni.

Perhaps one day I'll be able to sell up, buy a nicer motor home and just go where the wheels turn.

That's the plan anyway.

What a coincidence, I was just looking to see where the Ulysses guys and gals would be so we could keep out of there way a bit.

I see most of their recommended rides are in central, North and East (roughly) areas.

I heard they were expecting 4000, but don't know how accurate that is.

Anyway they are a great bunch.
