Look what was put in today. Will come in very handy indeedy. Just hope people appreciate the effort put in by the authorities and look after it and only use it for what is it for.
Does this mean a shower is next and maybe even a kiosk Nope, I and many others appreciate what they supply here now.

OMG. Really.
Is this around the back of the toilets. Fantastic.
When I was last there workmen were around the back but I didn't look to see what they were doing.
I hope they took into consideration heights for large buses etc and their hoses.
That is really good news.It will make life much easier for all.
I may come to visit for the opening

It is on the side of the toilet block next to ladies toilet as there is more room on that side. They have fitted a tap on the wall with small piece of hose to rinse out as well.
If you look at the pic you can see the existing pump out back.
Goulbourne Murray Water are great people, I rang them last Friday morning about the big bins being over flowing and they asked me a few things and were appreciative of my call and comments, they had someone out within a few hours to tidy up and make room for more rubbish until they get emptied tomorrow. See previous post. I had nothing to do with the dump point as that was already in the pipe line.
It is a real credit to GMW for what they provide here and I will miss it when I move on. When? Do you know, cos I don't, yet.

Yes I see now Doug. Good spot to get big vehicles to.
They must have wanted it to be a surprise as no one had been told as far as I know.
This really is exciting. They wouldn't have put a dump point in if there was ever thoughts of closing the lake to campers.
Well the rumours of them closing the area don't hold any ground with them installing more facilities. It will make life a lot easier for us all. Lets hope it's not misused.

Yes I agree that they will not close it but I think they will put a time limit on the staying time so that the maximum anyone can stay is ,for example, 14 days in any 3 month period.
This has been introduced in some unlimited camp spots already .
It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Unfortunately they have set it up on a concrete block & therefore it will be too high for us to use - We need gravity to drain our tanks which are low under the motorhome. It would have been better set at ground level.
sticking me bib in before Doug responds ... but anyway - this photo of the dump point nearer to completion shows they have constructed a 'gravel road' to make the dump point at 'ground level'.
Cheers - John

Great to hear about the Dump Point installation, hopefully we won't have to unblock the toilets anymore or clean the mess up when someone spilled their cassette while emptying as we have done before. Hope the area is still available by the time we get back from WA in a few years, by the way it's going should be more usable and presentable.
Improvements are always welcome, hopefully the ''shiny arses'' at Goulburn Murray Water & the Shire of Campaspe don't decide to redeem their costs by introducing site fees. It happens sometimes.

Cheers Desert Dweller.

Desert Dweller I had the same thinking , Why are they spending this money and getting no return , All outfit these days are on the outlook of producing income .
People I speak with and including myself have no problem with a small charge or maybe even a donation system if it ever comes in. Never have had a problem with it. If that does come in I will be first in the cue.
Just down the road at Girgarre is a little camping area, very nice area at that, with hot shower, dump point, clean toilets and town drinking water for a small donation. I was only there today using the dump point as I have done all the time here at greens and put $5 in the box as I do every time I use there. I had to go past so used there as usual this time.
I was speaking to a committee member there a few weeks back and they are very happy with the donations they receive, very surprised as well.
