Hello my name is Dee and me and hubby love hitching up and getting on the road and going to Apollo Bay and Bright.
Issue we have is we have a Nissan Navara D40 2011 Diesal Auto, and going up the hills towing our Jayco Expanda 16:49 feels like a snails pace and just reeves so high but we had checked out and all good.
So now we are considering looking for another vehical that will tow with ease up the hills and not reeve so high and be a joy without the stress of getting up some of the hills.
Anyone that can suggest via their Experience of vehicals would be appreciated.
We did look at the Toyota Landcruiser 200 series 2012 onwards but the budget as most are $60k plus
Welcome to the gang DeidreK, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I have a 2014 Colorado Twin Cab 6 speed Auto Diesel and I always tow in 5th in selective shift (manual). I need to drop down to 4th on steep hills and if a long steep hill maybe even 3rd but never really bothers me. I tow a 20' van around 2.7t.
A few people I know have changed to the Iveco small trucks and are more than happy so could be worth a look perhaps.

I use a Isuzu light truck. a Short wheel base, car licence, GCM of 8 tonne. Does it easily hauling 7 tonne for me. Economical too. I love it. New about $45k can pickup second hand $30k plus. Super reliable and service available throughout Aust. Cheers Allen
Yep . I used to drive light Isuzu, Mitsi surprising how rconomical and adaptable they are .. Some we drove home . Filled up with fuel once a week where when we had V6 Rodeo it was every second day or more .
