Convection / Health Oven

Hello

We do have an oven in our van but are looking to buy a 'health oven' or convection oven for externally cooking meats etc., Larger cuts which won't fit into our oven or bake evenly. My mum has an Easycook and it works really well but was wanting any comment on other products before purchasing. Also needing to know how you can use it without people pinching it!! We already have had 1 pair of Nikes taken and also a 'try' on our Weber. Thankyou, any info on any appliance which you may think would suit us, please reply.

Hello Suzrein

I assume that because the health oven is 240 volt, you will be using it, in a caravan park.

You could employ your own spies, by introducing yourself to your neighbours, and asking them to keep an eye out.

This seems to work for me in the free camps

Just looking for people's opinions on what kind of oven I should purchase, firstly. Always introduce myself to our neighbours if they are home and around when we arrive in the camp, always polite.
Not too sure on your comment actually. I have seen many outside appliances chained to the van, just looking and asking for some advice and maybe some ideas on what other people do.

I was attempting to answer the above security part of the question.

I googled health oven, saw the picture, and saw no way of easily attaching a cable to it.
I therefore thought, that the next best thing, to stop it being stolen, was some sort of neighbourhood watch.

There was an old saying when neighbourhood watch came out, in the 1970's that it was as good as having your own spy network

I am afraid that I can not answer the part of the question, about what product to buy, as I (the better half), have never used anything other than the standard oven/cooker.

I hope that I have now explained myself a bit more clearly

If you go this way, be careful what you buy. I bought an "el cheepo" It caught fire. Luckily it was outside. Up until then, it didn't seem to be able to control the temperature outside and took a long time to cook anything. If you have a webber, you should be covered. Same problem I believe with outside air. Some people put shields around them to block drafts.
