Rolls Royce Silver Spur

Ultimate tow vehicle/ project for handy person $25K

This is an unfinished restoration that requires completion. It's 95% complete with all the important and valuable bits in excellent condition.

I no longer have the time nor energy to complete. This is a rare Australian car and has its original books. There were 2 owners before me, the last being for 10 years and is a well-known car in Brisbane. It has the desirable Navy over Blue colour scheme, with Dove Grey interior. I purchased the car in 2010 and used as daily drive, in this time I reconditioned the 4 speed transmission and power steering (at a cost of over $5k), rebuilt the exhaust system in 414 stainless steel. After that it drove wonderfully, stopped well and was very smooth & powerful. Full Engineering report done in 2012 when I transferred registration to NSW. Currently fully road registered in NSW
Estimate to complete;- Balance of bodywork and painting ( $3-5k), Hydraulics $2 - 3k
Finished this is easily an $80-90k car and an appreciating asset, it would be a perfect project for someone who has retired or in handy as being a hand-built car they are very easy to work on, all you need is a bit of common sense and time, lots of time. I have e-copy full workshop manual

No trades, swaps or time wasters please - can arrange interstate transport on receipt of cleared funds.

There is a Rolls Ute getting around Bunbury WA.  The owner couldn't get the price he wanted when he was updating so he had the back cut off & turned it into a ute to use on the farm.  Did a good job of it too.

Not such a big job to make one and get it approved.

I built one for the OKA. It is certified for 3.5T.

Cheers,

Peter

Thank you for the quick response, I am with a group of motoring people who are active in classics and historic racing, have now brought it to there attention and to pass around the information.

I would love it the minster of financial things is very practical she said "remember my Uncles Warren one did not fit length wise in the garage", I hate it when she is practical.

Hope you have quick sale.
