raising the roof

ok replaced the roof of my pop top  but the new roof is now to heavy to lift with the original scissor lifts  thinking of adding the jayco easylift  system to it

anybody had any experience  with fitting this to a non jayco van   ?

and does it make it easier ?

cant afford the air bags !

any other suggestions ?

add a extra couple of scissor lifts perhaps ?

Have you checked out RV Airlifters yet ?   They cost less than $1,000.

Cheers,

Sheba.

We would not be able to lift the lid on our 5.5 m pop-top without them.

I fitted the RV Airlifters to a Pop Top we had seven years ago when I had a crook shoulder they were absolutely fantastic.

So simple in operation that I doubt much would ever go wrong and the people in Brisbane (I think) who make and supply them were great to deal with.

I wouldn't fiddle around too much just fit them, you'll have forgotten the price into the future when it takes a flick of a switch and a fifteen second wait for the roof to be up.

BEAUTIFUL!

If you have strong lifting/anchor points maybe you could consider using 12 Volt Actuators, you can easily buy them on fleabay.

peter d is that with the easylifters or the air bags
