I just bought 5m strip off eBay for $12 - $15 . I used a little clear silastic every 300mm or so to be sure it stayed attached just above strip above wheel arches . Wiring is easy as it's very low amperage . Speaker wire is enough . Can be single if you earth at LED connection . Been working for 3 years fine .. May fit a 2m strip higher ? Lights up just nice .
Leave it as long as you can to purchase LED strip lighting. It has slowly come down in price & will continue to do so in the future. Do you really need your camp to be lit up like a Christmas tree or is it just a novelty? The outside light on our caravan is sufficient for our needs.

Our land abounds in Nature's gifts, of beauty rich & rare. We'll be out there enjoying it somewhere, camped by ourselves much of the time.
we just bought a standard 12v 3m strip from Masters while they are discounting. Being a lazy bugger, I also bought a huge pack of cheap zip locks and use them to attach the LED strip to the awning support arms (I use the ones that came with the annexe so I have two supports between the end posts of the awning).
Then when I take the awning down, I just use a pair of scissors to cut off the zip locks and turf them and then roll up the LED light and store it in the front 'van boot.
I got a blue LED, as there have been many posts on here in the past that blue lights do not attract mozzies and other biters

Make sure you get clear white (that is the brightest). Also the ones I have bought on eBay always have the 3m adhesive backing.
Last one I attached it to the awning roll and fed the wire thru the edge of the awning back to the van and then under a rubber strip on the top edge of the van to under the van.

Fully dimmable, velco or hooks for attaching to awning rafter.
I too have a 5mt led strip and also bought through E-bay. $15.00. 12 Volt, low current draw and came with 3M backing. Great light and now no dark areas under the awning. Well worth the time and effort.
