looking at buying a mover for our 3 tonne loaded dual wheel van, to help in tight situation in our yard. Any ideas of the best one. OPtitec V2 has anyone used these successfully?
this has been asked a few times with limited response (try search function)
I think the sale price of nearly $2000 plus bracket and postage is the reason
they are currently at the brisbane caravan show and it looks to be quite a substantial product, it depends on what
situations you want to use it in

The great difficulty is the Tandem wheels don't allow anything to do tight turns. So if you want to turn a van in your yard, I'd suggest you measure the area you have available and ask the suppliers if their product can do it.
I saw those units which attach in front of the tyres and it couldn't turn the van, just move it slightly to the left or right.

optitec have some good videos of their product on their website
they can move tandems in most places but are not cheap and do have some limitations
I am still considering one I just need to make sure it will work in my situation
I have an Optitec and it works well, I keep it at home for positioning my van in a tight space. (have a battery power pak on charge in the shed for whenever I return home and need to use it.) Unit weighs about as much as I want to carry a short distance!
Make sure you get the double clamp for it.
My van isn't tandem but they work well and most people only need them at home so they are not permanently attached to the van as some movers are and control is very easy with the remote.
