My led lights won't work. Plugged van into mains power for 8 hours. Lights worked. Left van for 5days. Again no lights. Battery charged &have solar panel on the roof. Am I missing something
Several thoughts:
Have you just changed the lights over to LED?
Maybe there are two batteries and one is kapput!
Did the lights work while you had the 240 connected?
Do you have non LEDs and do they work?
BTW - Interesting article about LED replacement 'bulbs' effecting TV reception in the latest Caravan on Tour mag.

Ahhh, then try reversing the polarity - you won't break anything, as LEDs are a diode. They simply won't flow power if the polarity's wrong. Besides, if that's the problem then they already are connected in reverse
Do you have to switch from 240 (Transformer supply) to Battery supply? If you plug back into 240 and they still work then you may have a switching problem.... The managing director often forgets that part of the job and assumes some catastrophic failure has occurred.

First things first, Jayco vans do not have a transformer. Transformers give an AC output. You need DC to charge batteries. Jaycos are fitted with power supplies.
DJ, you are a bit short on details in you r original message. If you said you did in you second message I would have been able to tell you there is a battery switch in the later Jayco vans. That isolates the battery from the Setec power supply. It should only be used when you store the van without the mains power to the van. There is a possibility that the service people have switched that switch to the isolate position. Look for switches to operate and see if you can liven up the lights.
If that isolation switch has been operated then you would not have charged your battery when you connected the power for the 8 hours. You would also have lost the lights when you disconnected the power. As you waited 5 days to retest your lights it is possible that your battery is flat or buggered.
I would not bother to reverse the wiring to your lights. If they worked when the mains was connected then the problem was not caused by the service people messing around with that part of your van.
