Good Day my name is Jeff and i have just joined the group, i have a 1996 Toyota Coaster bus that is 80% finished so just a few more little items to go, and also the reason i am here hoping to get some advice or info on where to go to buy some of the items i need. I am looking for a company that actually makes long range diesel tanks that bolt straight in to replace the original or a Aux tank that will fit up under the chassis of the Coaster without any modification. The other item i want to be able fit to the Coaster is a Fresh water tank so looking for a company that makes ready to fit water tanks that i can just fit straight up under the chassis.
The last bit off advice i am chasing is regarding the Diff ratio currently it has a stander 5.625 (i think), i have heard that people are/have put a lower ratio 4.825 (I think) if these are not exact they are close to what i have been told. has anyone made the change and did it work with lowering the RPM and improve fuel usage?
If anyone can give me any info or some suggestions that would be much appreciated.
Really enjoying the freedom that the Coaster gives us and now that we have one we have noticed that there are a hell of a lot out there on the road.
Welcome to the gang Reidy, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Sorry I can't help with answers on this occassion but you are right in saying there are heaps of coasters out in the playground. They are a good vehicle.
If you don't get much response to your questions here, pop your question in the "Techies" section of this great forum.
Keep Safe on the roads.
