Not sure of the arrangement with your drag link, but I once owned a Citroen for nearly 20 years. I never had the problem with the ball joints, but a favourite trick when they did wear was to take the tie rod off and set it up over a vice, and give the back plate of the joint a decent whack with a big hammer. This drove the ball further into its tapered seat on the opposite side of the joint and apparently 'fixed' it to pass Roadworthy. Apparently you had to be careful that you didn't give it too much or the joint would then bind up. If all else fails, maybe you can do this with yours?

You could try this site http://hino-rb145.com/ which has a few links to spare parts places.

EV Timms wreckers 333 Settlement Rd. Thomastown Vic. 03 94656722 . I am sure they have at least two motorhome Rainbow's in stock.

Giving advise like this is nothing short of utter stupidity.

You need locking up if this is tour attitude to road worthyness.

I think that is a bit harsh, worse things have been done to vehicles to keep them on the road, I had my coaster wheel aligned and he said my drag link had some wear also and suggested it will have to be done but he checked and none are available so he suggested a similar fix to erad, said he had success with it.

Keengaz: I am not sure if this is worth replying to but here goes.... At the end of my post, I said "If all else fails, maybe you can do this with yours". I did not suggest to take this route as an alternative. The OP may not be able to get a new drag link assembly, and he stated the ball joints were not replaceable. Therefore this may be the only alternative available to him. As long as the "whack" doesn't loosen the backing plate on the ball joint, it isn't that bad, but I am sure you will continue with your tirade. Fire away...
